Currently shooting across Europe are French feature Le Voile, UK thriller Airborne and German drama Error Of The Human Body.

Le Voile tackles the social issue of the Islamic veil, focusing on an orphaned brother and his sister who live together on a suburban housing estate and come to clash when the brother refuses to let his sister continue her theatre lessons. Neon Productions and 13 Production are jointly producing and the drama also received financial backing from the PACA region where it is currently shooting in the L’Estaque district (to be completed next Friday). Viviane Candas adapted the film from her own 2004 novel The Burned Veil and also directs, with Sonia Amaury and Stéphane Nahal in the starring roles. No sales agent or distributor has been appointed yet.

Gemma Atkinson, Alan Ford and Julian Glover star in Dominic Burns’ thriller Airborne about travellers who encounter an evil force on an airplane. Simon Phillips and Jonathan Sothcott are producing through Press On Features and Black and Blue Films respectively. The film is shooting until the end of March in Surrey.
