Intandem Films will handle international sales on the new $20m UK thriller Lucidity, which is set to shoot in February 2012.

Freddie Hutton-Mills and Bart Ruspoli (Screwed) are producing and the finance comes from the Preston Waters Corporation, which is based in New York and Chicago.

Directing duo Bert&Bertie (pictured) will direct.

The story is set in a dystopian near-future London, where a new drug called Lucidity allows memories to be stored, stolen and traded. A young addict has to go on the hunt for his girlfriend’s killers using other people’s memories.

The producers said the film is an “ambitious movie in a difficult time, so we’re thankful to the guys at Preston Waters in sharing our belief in the film’s huge potential, and we feel we’ve picked the perfect creative team to realize just that.”

President of Film and Television at Preston Waters, Matt Moran added, “Bert&Bertie’s talent for blurring the lines between fantasy and reality makes them the ideal fit for this film. We are thrilled Lucidity will debut their award-winning talents to the global film audience.”

BAFTA-nominated Bert&Bertie have previously made commercials as well as shorts films including award-winner The Taxidermist.
