The 12 month programme will be open to 10 producers from the South East region of the UK.

UK regional agency Screen South is launching a new producer development programme aimed at introducing up and coming producers to key people in the UK film industry.

The programme – Develop, Connect, Produce – will give 10 producers from the South East region of the UK, who currently have a feature project in development, the chance to attend industry lunchtime talks and one to ones with financiers, fund heads, sales agents, lawyers and distributors. It will run from 8th September for 12 months.

At various stages of the programme, producers will be asked to submit three written project updates, which will enable Screen South to evaluate and adapt the programme to individual projects’ progress and requirements.

The deadline for entries is 23rd June.

Screen South CEO Jo Nolan said: “Screen South has a track record of producing excellent results with its producer development programmes. Develop, Connect, Produce will build on our recent successes with programmes like Cine Euro and will provide a unique opportunity for our regional producers to really get their feature project to market and on the way to being green-lit.”

Screen South Head of Production David Castro added: “This scheme offers an unparalleled opportunity to meet and interact with top industry professionals as well as other regional producers, proactively helping you and your project to take a giant step forward.”
