Wesley Snipes is to star in a new action game for the iphone and iPad, Julius Styles: The International, which looks set to be made into a feature film.

The actor, who is currently serving time in prison for tax issues, is to star as an international facilitator in the game, which is being produced by Lapland Studios together with the UK’s Elstree Studio Productions and Red 27 Films. The game will be released in June 2011, with the feature version being lined up for 2013.

Wesley Snipes said the project was “inspired by my desire to bring my Art of War,Murder at 1600 and Passenger 57 characters into the game world. Julius Styles will offer something for both the mind game strategist and the kick -ass special ops warrior lover.”

He added that “the feature film is going to be a blast!”

 Warren Derosa Co-CEO of Elstree Studio Productions said: “We are all fully committed to Julius Styles and fully support Mr Snipes who remains first and foremost one of the worlds biggest action stars and will make Julius Styles a must have game.”
