This year’s Frankfurt Book Fair (10 – 14 October) will feature its first crossmedia trading centre, called the StoryDrive Content and Project Marketplace.

Frankfurt’s StoryDrive will bring together diverse representatives of the media and content world, including agents, publishers, film & TV producers, financiers, and games developers. On 11 and 12 October, the event will host networking and matchmaking sessions.

Frankfurt StoryDrive will also be publishing a content and project catalogue, which will be available to all participants in StoryDrive before the start of the Book Fair. An entry in the catalogue costs €180 plus VAT and can include a short synopsis and information about a project and the content provider’s company and contact information. Registration for the catalogue is currently open and will close on July 31.

StoryDrive director Britta Friedrich said: “The catalogue is a tool that will help potential buyers find content with crossmedia potential and that will offer creators of omnimedia projects an ideal opportunity to present their material. A novel with film potential; a screenplay that would make a great game; a game that could be adapted into a novel – we’re looking for projects that work in a variety of media – and that break down media boundaries.”

StoryDrive will also host a space in Room Europa (Hall 4.0) for exhibitors in the fields of film, games, merchandising and interactive, along with media and technology providers, to showcase crossmedia projects and new technology.
