Freshly rebranded Annapurna International will introduce Cannes buyers this week to the Charlize Theron vehicle American Express.

Annapurna Pictures and Denver & Delilah are producing and Theron is in negotiations to star in the action comedy about a middle manager who hears they are about to be given the sack and decides to turn the tables on the boss. Nash Edgerton is understood to be in line to direct.

Annapurna founder Megan Ellison and head of international sales Kim Fox announced (12) the company rebranding, which brings bringing financing, production and production under one name.

The sales company was formerly known as Panorama Media.

Annapurna International will continue to handle sales of Annapurna’s titles as well as third party projects.

The Cannes slate includes previously announced The Hollars, which John Krasinski will direct and star in alongside Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins and Margo Martindale.

“With Annapurna Pictures, Megan has built a brand that is recognised for its involvement with quality projects and filmmakers,” said Fox. “With the new title of Annapurna International, I am excited to expand that brand globally with our amazing team.”
