The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) is introducing a new International Industry Day Conference at the upcoming fifth edition of the festiva, which runs from September 24–October 4.

The event will encompass panel discussions involving industry and creative types from Europe and North America to foster stronger relationships and information exchange.

The event will accompany the already established Zurich Master Class and Zurich Producer’s Forum and will include four English-language podium events covering the subjects of representing talent, casting directors, creating the perfect package, and publicists.

Confirmed participants include: unrepresented screenwriter Dale Launer whose credits include My Cousin Vinny; German agent and CEO of the Players Agency Mechthild Holter; Nikki Parker, executive vice-president of entertainment public relations and marketing agency Rogers & Cowan; and Lindy King, co-owner and chair of the British talent agency United Agents, whose clients include Ewan McGregor and Kate Winslet.

“The Industry Day offers professionals from various fields of the filmmaking industry the opportunity to exchange information, share knowledge and establish new contacts”, ZFF co-director Karl Spoerri said. “It is here that current developments and trends can be taken up and reflected upon.”
