BAFTAs 2016

Twentieth Century Fox has topped the list of distributors nominated for BAFTAs, as it did in 2014.

Fox received 24 nominations to put it well ahead of the rest of the pack: nine for Bridge Of Spies; eight for The Revenant; six for The Martian; and one for documentary He Named Me Malala.

Universal came in second with 15 nominations: five apiece for The Danish Girl and Ex Machina; three for Steve Jobs; and one each for animation Minions and documentary Listen To Me Marlon.

Studiocanal rounded off the top three with 13 nominations: nine for Carol; two for Room; and one each for The Assassin and Shaun The Sheep Movie.

Lionsgate received nine nominations: six for Brooklyn and three for Sicario.

Disney amassed eight: four for Star Wars: The Force Awakens; two for animation Inside Out; and one apiece for Ant-Man and Cinderella.

Warner Bros garnered seven nominations, all for Mad Max: Fury Road.

Curzon Artificial Eye received five, one each for 45 Years, Beasts Of No Nation, Force Majeure, Timbuktu, Wild Tales.

Paramount also secured five, all for The Big Short.

Entertainment One clocked up four, three for Spotlight and one for Trumbo.
