Anna Friel, Tamsin Egerton and Imogen Poots have joined the cast of Michael Winterbottom’s next feature, which stars Steve Coogan as infamous porn baron Paul Raymond.
Friel will play Raymond’s first wife, Egerton his glamour model girlfriend and Poots will star as his daughter in the comedy drama about the colourful business and personl life of renowned club proprietor and porn publisher Paul Raymond.
Matt Greenhalgh, who wrote Nowhere Boy and Control, has written the script for the film, which is produced by Winterbottom’s production company Revolution Films. The film has been developed and co-financed with Film4 and StudioCanal, who have UK distribution rights and are selling internationally. The film has also received backing from Anton Capital Entertainment and S.C.A.Lip Sync will be providing all post production services for the film.
This will be the fourth time that Coogan and Winterbottom have worked together following The Trip, A Cock And Bull Story and 24 Hour Party People.
Melissa Parmenter is producing with Film4’s Katherine Butler, StudioCanal’s Danny Perkins and Jenny Borgars executive producing.
