This week a werewolf invades Galicia in Juan Martínez Moreno’s horror comedy and two teenagers kidnap their teacher in Safy Nebbou’s new feature set in France.

Gorka Otxoa, Carlos Areces and Secun De La Rosa star in the horror comedy Lobos De Arga about a man who has to rescue a Galician village from a werewolf. Written and directed by Juan Martínez Moreno [pictured], the film is jointly produced by Emma Lustres, Borja Pena and Tomás Cimadevilla for Vaca Films and Telespan 2000. Shooting has been ongoing since January in various towns across Galicia and is due to be completed at the end of the month. No sales agent or distributor has been announced yet.

Also currently shooting is Safy Nebbou’s Mauvaises Herbes about two teenagers who kidnap their teacher. Nebbou co-wrote the screenplay with Safy Nebbou and Gilles Taurand, which is based on Boileau-Narcejac’s novel L’âge Bête (The Stupid Age). The cast comprises of Charles Berling, Sarah Stern, Emile Berling and Kevin Azaïs among others. The $8.5m production is produced by Michel Saint-Jean for Diaphana, with France 3 Cinema, Artemis Productions and Samsa Film acting as co-producers. Shooting will wrap in early May in Luxembourg, with Diaphana releasing in France and Memento Films International handling international sales.

Shaune Harrison is currently preparing to KTD 2020, a sci-fi thriller set in the future and revolving around a new global reality game show, Kill The Dead. Harrison also wrote the script and Dominick Fairbanks is producing for his new production company Fairbanks Productions. Shooting is scheduled to commence this summer at the Twickenham Film Studios. Arclight has been appointed as sales agent.
