Oscar-nominated David O Russell will collect the Outstanding Director Award at the 29th Santa Barbara International Film Festival on January 31.
Russell earned a best director Oscar nomination for American Hustle on January 16 and shared a best original screenplay nod with Eric Singer.
The festival is scheduled to run from January 30-February 9.
