Anchor Bay Films has taken North American rights to supernatural thriller The Possession Of Michael King starring Shane Johnson.

David Jung makes his feature directorial debut on the film about a widower who explores the occult following the shocking death of his wife.

Dale Dickey, Tomas Arana, Ella Anderson and Julie McNiven round out the cast on the project, a Gold Circle presentation that is currently in post.

“Audiences love possession films and this one is filled with all the thrills they’re known for,” said evp of acquisitions and co-productions Kevin Kasha.
