Actress Charlotte Gainsbourg underwent surgery overnightWednesday following a brain hemorrhage. News reports said the actress was 'doingvery well' on Thursday.

Gainsbourg's agent,Dominique Segall, said in a statement that the actress had taken a fall a fewmonths ago whilst water skiing and underwent surgery for a small hematoma inthe brain.

'She is doing very, very well,' her husband, actor anddirector Yvan Attal told radio station Europe1.

The daughter of musician Serge Gainsbourg and actress/singer Jane Birkin, CharlotteGainsbourg is best known outside France for her work in such filmsas Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu's 21Grams and the upcoming I'mNot There from Todd Haynes.
