Sierra / Affinity has added comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever to its EFM sales slate.

Sierra / Affinity has added comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever to its European Film Market international sales slate. The deal was financed by PalmStar Media Capital.

The film, which will screen in Berlin, premiered at Sundance, where Sony Pictures Classics picked up domestic rights.

Following two people who married and divorced young but try to stay friends as they move on with their lives, the film stars Rashida Jones, Andy Samberg, Elijah Woods, Emma Roberts, Chris Messina and Ari Graynor. Lee Toland Krieger directed from a screenplay by Jones and Will McCormack.

Envision Media Arts financed the project and Jennifer Todd, Suzanne Todd and Lee Nelson produced.

Sierra / Affinity CEO Nick Meyer described Celeste and Jesse Forever as “a perceptive and amusing film that bucks the romantic comedy formula while still being charming and romantic.”

The PalmStar and Sierra / Affinity deals were negotiated by UTA Independent Film Group with Jonathan Garder of Cohen Cardner LLP acting on behalf of the filmmakers.
