Sundance Selects has made an early move on Untitled Jacques Audiard Film, which is currently in production.

Audiard directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Thomas Bidegain and Noé Debré.

Pascal Caucheteux and Grégoire Sorlat are producing the project, about a Sri-Lankan Tamil warrior who seeks political asylum in Paris and runs into a violent gang of drug dealers.

“Audiard is a master film-maker who consistently delivers unforgettable characters within exquisite films that stay with us long after the final credits roll,” said Sundance Selects/IFC Films president Jonathan Sehring.

“We could not be more excited to be working with him on his latest and with our friends at Celluloid Dreams, Why Not Productions and Wild Bunch.”

Sundance Selects/IFC Films svp of acquisitions Arianna Bocco brokered the deal with Hengameh Panahi of Celluloid Dreams with Wild Bunch co-representing.
