EXCLUSIVE: Reclaim The Frame has unveiled the lineup of industry experts who will take part in the UK charity’s inaugural Back In The Frame six-month programme supporting experienced women and marginalised gender directors and producers re-entering the screen industries after a career break.

The selected industry experts include BFI London Film Festival director Kristy Matheson, Rocks and Ali & Ava producer Ameenah Ayub Allan, Cannes Directors’ Fortnight programmer and former co-director of Sheffield DocFest and Doclisboa Cíntia Gil, Comscore’s executive director Lucy Jones and Line Langebek, The Girl With The Needle screenwriter and co-founder of UK film and TV parents and carers campaign group Raising Films.

Back In The Frame is delivered with support from Sony Pictures Television (SPT)’s Creative Diversity Fund and aims to respond to the sustained loss of mid-career talent from the UK screen industries and the absence of structured, supported re-entry pathways for experienced filmmakers. Applications remain open for 12 UK-based participants.

Running from September 2026 to March 2027, Back in the Frame will support twelve participants through three in-person labs in London, online industry sessions, mentoring, and facilitated cohort development.

Further experts lined up to take part are HanWay Films’ director of marketing and distribution Tejinder Jouhal, wellbeing and inclusion consultant Valeria Bullo, AI specialist Afia Nkrumah, Lee & Thompson film and TV lawyer Fi Tudur, investment manager at Fourth Culture Films Carine Hejazi, speech and communication expert Caroline Goyder, co-director of job sharing consultancy ReelTime Media Michelle Reynolds, film and TV HR specialist Tacita Small and Screen International contributing editor and festival consultant Wendy Mitchell.
