American Honey director Andrea Arnold has been named president of the jury for the 9th edition of the Les Arcs European Film festival (Dec 16-23).
Taking place in the French Alps, the festival showcases European independent cinema in an idyllic setting, also offering attendees the opportunity to take to the skiing slopes in between meetings and screenings.
Arnold, whose credits also include Fish Tank and the Oscar-winning short film Wasp, premiered her most recent feature American Honey In Competition at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, where it picked up a jury prize. The film also won her best director at the British Independent Film Awards.
The complete Les Arcs jury and further announcements will be made at the festival’s press conference on November 6 in Paris.
