Roadside Attractions and Vertical have acquired US rights to Lauren Miller Rogen’s Babies starring Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen ahead of the Gala Presentation world premiere in Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next month.
Issa Rae, Dan Stevens, Kate Berlant, Zach Cherry, Ed Helms and Ashley Park round out the cast with Sharon Stone and David Strathairn on the story of a married childless couple who welcome in a divorced friend and her daughter.
Roadside and Vertical will release Babies theatrically in 2027. The deal comes one year after AGC Studios and CAA Media Finance launched worldwide sales at a 2025 TIFF buyer presentation.
Monarch Media and AGC Studios co-financed and produced the feature with Lylas Pictures. Lauren Miller Rogen and Jen W. Ray from Lylas served as producers, alongside Monarch’s Steve Barnett and AGC’s Stuart Ford.
Monarch’s Vicky Patel and Alan Powell, AGC’s Miguel A. Palos, Jr. and Zach Garrett, and Lylas’s Sophie Høegh served as executive producers.
