Emily Stillman, senior vice president at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, has been elected chair of Bafta’s film committee, after holding the role of deputy chair for two years.

Anthony Andrews, co-founder and creative director of We Are Parable, has been elected as deputy chair.

Stillman takes over from Anna Higgs as the film chair. Stilman is responsible for business development, marketing and operations for Warner Bros Studios Leavesden and Warner Bros Burbank, has been a board member of the Production Guild, the BFC National Advisory Board, the Film and TV Charity Mental Health Taskforce, and was elected to the Bafta film committee in June 2021.

Andrews founded We Are Parable with his wife Teanne Andrews in 2013. It is a film exhibition and distribution company that provides UK and global audiences with opportunities to experience Black cinema and television.

Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning at UKTV, has been re-elected chair of the television committee, with Christine Healy, director of production at Playground, re-elected as deputy chair.

Bafta’s sector committees play a key role in steering the organisation’s awards and support the delivery of its charitable objectives. The chairs also sit on Bafta’s board of trustees.

The Bafta Film Awards will take place on February 22, 2026.
