The Cannes Film Festival is unveiling the line-up for its 79th edition on April 9, at 11am local time (10am BST).

Festival director Thierry Frémaux will unveil the Official Selection at a press conference at the Pathe Palace in Paris alongside festival president Iris Knobloch.

As previously announced, the festival will open with Pierre Salvadori’s The Electric Kiss starring Pio Marmai, Anais Demoustier, Gilles Lellouche.

The other title announced is John Travolta’s directorial debut Propeller One-Way Night Coach in the Cannes Premiere section.

The 2026 festival runs from May 12-23.

Park Chan-wook will preside over the jury. Peter Jackson and Barbra Streisand will receive the honorary Palme d’Or.
