Anchor Bay will distribute the RADiUS-TWC slate on DVD and Blu-ray. Also in action on Tuesday: BAM and Well Go USA; Zeitgeist; Kaleidescape and Warner Bros Digital Distribution; and BoPaul Media Worldwide.
The multi-year deal covers US rights and kicks off with the release of Butter, which went on retail sales this week. The roster includes the digital hit Bachelorette, as well as Pusher, The Details, Lay The Favorite and Dragon.
“We have found the ideal partner to handle the DVD and Blu-ray distribution to our films,” said RADiUS-TWC co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego.
“Radius-TWC has an impressive slate coming up and Anchor Bay is thrilled to be offering these films to consumers,” said Anchor Bay Entertainment president Bill Clark.
- Toronto-based Berkshire Axis Media (BAM) has entered into an exclusive multi-year physical distribution deal with Well Go USA Entertainment. BAM will handle designated releases in Canada starting next spring. CEO John Carbone made the announcement on Tuesday (11). BAM’s Iain Taylor negotiated with Tony Vandeveerdonk of Well Go USA.
- Zeitgeist has picked up Jeremy Frindel’s One Track Heart, the story of the man who turned his back on the chance to become lead singer of the Blue Oyster Cult and moved to the Himalayas in search of happiness.
- Kaleidescape has signed a multi-year deal with Warner Bros Digital Distribution to offer films for purchase and will upgrade all Warner Bros titles purchased through the Kaleidescape Store to UltraViolet in March.
- BoPaul Media Worldwide (BMW) has acquired all worldwide rights to the 10-film English-language OB Films library from France. Titles include Roger Vadim’s Une Femme Fidele starring Sylvia Kristel and Werner Herzog’s 1991 mountaineering drama Scream Of Stone.
