Nicolas Pereda’s Everything Else Is Noise is among the 11 international projects selected for FIDLab, the international co-production platform of FIDMarseille.
Currently in post-production, Mexican director Pereda’s film unites three composers inside an apartment, where they have conversations on gender roles, family tensions and artistry.

Everything Else Is Noise is produced by Catalina Pereda for Mexico’s En Chinga Producciones. It is Nicolas Pereda’s 10th feature; his previous film, Lazaro at Night, had its world premiere at FIDMarseille International Film Festival last year.
Two projects will be presented by the Joaquim Jorda Grant laureates: Maria Aparicio’s From Dawn To Dusk, and Andres Jurado and Maria Alejandra Rojas’s Tonada.
A three-person jury of Austrian producer-distributor Pierre-Emmanuel Finzi, Serbian programmer at Locarno Film Festival Stefan Ivancic, and Spanish producer and head of industry at TorinoFilmLab Olimpia Pont Chafer will award nine in-kind grants to the selected projects.
The 2025 edition received over 400 entries.
FIDLab will run on July 10 and 11, attended by producers, distributors, sales agents, fund representatives and programmers. It is part of the 36th FIDMarseille, which takes place from July 8-13.
