The BFI and the British Film Commissio held a reception at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday (September 7) celebrating 40 years of UK film and co-productions in selection.
The event was hosted in partnership with BBC Film, Bafta, Film4 and the Dept for Business and Trade. See pictures from the reception above.
It took place at the The Dorset Wellington, with remarks given by Charles Tremblay, head of TIFF: The Market, and Ama Ampadu and Louise Ortega, senior development and production executives for the BFI Filmmaking Fund, and Fouzia Younis from the British Consul General in Toronto.
Other attendees included actor/filmmaker James McAvoy, whose directorial debut California Schemin’ premiered in TIFF over the weekend, Kneecap director Rich Peppiatt, Bafta CEO Jane Millichip, BBC Film head Eva Yates, and Film4 director Farhana Bhula.
