Jake Gyllenhaal, Baby Driver’s Ansel Elgort and Zendaya have signed on to crime thriller Finest Kind, which Brian Helgeland will direct and STXinternational brings to the EFM next week.

Gary Foster and Russ produce under Krasnoff/Foster Entertainment with Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas, and Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker through their Nine Stories label.

30WEST is financing the film and CAA and Endeavor Content represent US rights. STXinternational will distribute directly in the UK.

Finest Kind stars Gyllenhaal and Elgort as brothers who strike a deal with a crime syndicate that draws them into the Boston underworld. As the tension mount, it heaps pressure on the men’s families.

Foster said: “Brian and I have dreamed about making this film together for a long time. Brian’s directorial vision and powerful screenplay which draws on his experiences growing up in the tough town of New Bedfrod, Mass., has attracted a stellar cast lead by Jake, Ansel and Zendaya. I couldn’t be more thrilled!”
