Mia Hansen-Løve’s If Love Should Die, starring Renate Reinsve as the English writer Mary Wollstonecraft, has started shooting in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Eight days of filming will also take place in the Västra Götaland region.
The film follows Wollstonecraft in her journey from a writer in London to revolutionary France.Johnny Flynn, Vicky Krieps, Charlie Kelly, Will Keen, Tom Sturridge and Jane Beever.
If Love Should Die is produced by the UK’s Intake Films, France’s Les Films Pelleas, Ireland’s Wildcard, Spain’s Elastica Films, Norway’s Mer Film and Sweden’s Kjellson & Wik.
Film i Väst and Arte are among the co-producers.
Goodfellas is handling international sales.
Hansen-Løve’s previous films include Bergman Island, One Fine Morning and Things To Come.
