The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB),  the UK membership organisation for those working in film and drama production, has appointed Kaye Elliott as its new CEO.

Elliott takes over the post on July 16, succeeding Lyndsay Duthie, who stepped down in January.

The new CEO joins from ScreenSkills where she serves as director of high-end television, overseeing industry investment in skills support for UK freelancers and production companies. Prior to ScreenSkills, Elliott was deputy director of partnerships and head of production services at Creative England.

Michael Beavan, deputy CEO of the PGGB, said: “The vision Kaye brings as new CEO will help shape PGGB’s continued growth and development and create a healthy balance between its roots in film with the vital role HETV plays in our future production landscape.”

Bianca Gavin, chair of the PGGB, added: “Kaye’s strong commitment to championing UK industry talent aligns perfectly with our mission and ethos, and we are excited for her to lead the organisation into the future.”

Commenting on her new role, Elliott said: “I’m excited and committed to bring my passion for the industry and work with the team and the Board to build on the Guild’s strong foundations to grow and strategically support its members, influence policy, and ultimately strengthen the UK’s global production leadership.”
