Trine Dyrholm, Christian Slater and Dree Hemingway have signed to star in Jesper Just’s Incidents Of Intimacy, the second feature film from Denmark’s Dogma 25 filmmaking initiative.

The film will follow a woman who steals objects from people to file them in an archive until they begin to take on a life of their own. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2027.

Danish actors Johannes Lilleore, Julie Agnete Vang, Laura Drasbaek and Michael Moritzen will also star.

The film is written by Danish artist-filmmaker Just in collaboration with Sissel Dalsgaard Thomsen, who previously wrote Isabella Eklof’s Kalak and Malene Choi’s The Quiet Migration.

Incidents Of Intimacy is his first feature. His work as an artist has been shown at exhibitions including the Venice Biennale.

Dogma 25

It is the second Danish Dogma 25 title to head towards production after Eklof’s Mr. Nawashi. All five films are being produced by Zentropa. The projects are financed in a collaboration between Zentropa, DR, and Nordisk Film Distribution, with the addition of Netflix, which has taken Nordic streaming rights.

Incidents Of Intimacy has also received support from the Danish Film Institute, the Eastern Denmark Film Fund and Nordisk Film & TV Fond.

Nordisk Film Distribution will release the Dogma 25 films theatrically in the region.  TrustNordisk handles international sales on the titles.

The rebirth of the Dogma filmmaking movement in the Nordics last year has been followed by similar initiatives in Germany and the UK, both launched in Cannes this year.
