Harvey Keitel has joined J K Simmons on the dark comedy A Beginner’s Guide To Endings, which began principal photography in Niagara Falls on November 4.

Jonathan Sobol is directing from his original screenplay. Nicholas Tabarrok is producing the story of three brothers who upon learning they only have days to live set off to reverse a lifetime of mistakes.

Keitel will play Duke, the hard-living, gambling family patriarch. Paulo Costanzo and Jason Jones have also joined the cast as two of the sons.

“This cast is beyond my wildest hopes for a first-time director,” Sobol said. “When I wrote the script I dreamt of actors of this calibre playing these roles but I don’t think I ever actually thought I’d have the opportunity to work with them.”
