Passion and an as-yet-untitled Tom Green Stone Roses project are this week’s new additions to our online production listings Screenbase.

Brian De Palma [pictured] will direct Passion, the remake of the 2010 French drama Crime d’amour (Love Crime) by Alain Corneau. Saïd Ben Saïd of SBS Films will produce the $30m thriller, with co-production support from Germany, Spain and the UK. SBS also handles international sales. Shooting is planned to commence in August in German studios, with all exterior shots to be filmed in London.

In the UK, Tom Green is preparing the shoot for an as-yet-untitled film set against the Stone Roses seminal Spike Island gig in 1990. With a script by Chris Coghill, the film is jointly produced by Fiona Neilson and Esther Douglas for Fiesta Productions and Revolver Films, with Revolver also distributing in the UK. The project received development support from the UK Film Council. Shooting is expected to start in the first half of 2011.
