Principal photography on Fox Searchlight’s Win Win directed by Tom McCarthy (pictured) will begin in New York on March 15.
Paul Giamatti, Amy Ryan, Melanie Lynskey, Bobby Cannavale and Jeffrey Tambor star in the story of a struggling attorney who moonlights as a wrestling coach and finds himself in hot water when his elderly client’s grandson turns up. McCarthy and Joe Tiboni wrote the story.
Mary Jane Skalski, Michael London and Everest Entertainment’s Lisa Maria Falcone, who is co-financing with Fox Searchlight, are producing. Everest’s Tom Heller will serve as executive producer.
Production president Claudia Lewis and production senior vice-president Matthew Greenfield are overseeing the project.
Fox Searchlight’s vice-president of business affairs Megan O’Brien brokered the deal with Andrew Hurwitz of Schreck, Rose, Dapello, Adams & Hurwitz on behalf of McCarthy and the producers. Stephen Espinoza and David Lande of Ziffren Brittenham negotiated for Everest Entertainment.
New York-based production company Everest was founded in 2008 by Falcone. The company donates a portion of proceeds to philanthropic causes consistent with the themes of its work.
