Production is underway in New York and the Westchester area on Untitled Oliver Sacks Project.

J K Simmons, Julia Ormond, Cara Seymour and Lou Taylor Pucci star in the project, based on a case study called The Last Hippie by Sacks, the bestselling author and professor of neurology and psychiatry.

The story centres on an engineer who finds his long lost 35-year-old son who has a brain tumour that prevents him from forming new memories.

Through the help of a doctor the family learns to communicate with their son through the music he loved from the 1960s.

Jim Kohlberg makes his feature directorial debut from a screenplay by Gwyn Lurie and Gary Marks, based on a story by Sacks. Julie Noll, Greg Johnson and Peter Newman are producing.
