Matt Berenson has joined Sidney Kimmel Entertainment (SKE) as president of production.
Berenson recently served as president of production at Principato-Young Entertainment and prior to that was president of production at Carsey-Werner Films
In 2003 Berenson produced Daddy Day Care with John Davis’ Davis Entertainment for Fox.
SKE’s slate includes two co-productions with Lakeshore Entertainment, The Lincoln Lawyer starring Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomei, and One For The Money starring Katherine Heigl. Both are set for summer starts.
SKE is also fast tracking Pay The Ghost, a supernatural thriller to be produced in association with Mark Gordon Productions and Midnight Kitchen Productions, and Dennis Iliadis set to direct. SKE’s co-production with Screen Gems of Death At A Funeral is currently in release.
“As we ramp up our production slate, it’s essential to have Matt join us at this time,” SKE president Jim Tauber said. “His broad level of production experience and like-minded sensibilities make him a perfect addition to the SKE team. We are all very happy that he is joining us in the top production capacity.”
