Summit Entertainment is strengthening ties with Temple Hill after acquiring a pitch to the thriller Puzzle Palace.

Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are producing the Twilight franchise for Summit and will produce Puzzle Palace with Madhouse’s Adam Kolbrenner serving as executive producer.

David Guggenheim will write the screenplay and is represented by APA, Madhouse Entertainment and Ziffren, Brittenham. He recently sold the spec script Safe House to Universal Pictures, which is fast tracking the project with Scott Stuber producing.

Godfrey and Bowen recently produced Dear John, which has grossed more than $78m in North America through Screen Gems. They are currently in production on the Will Ferrell comedy Everything Must Go.

Summit’s president of production Erik Feig and vice-president of production Jean Song will oversee for the company.
