Metro management team acquire 70% of Ealing Metro and Ealing Studios and Prescience have retained 30%; company rebrands as Metro International Entertainment

The Ealing Metro management team, led by CEO Will Machin [pictured] and company directors Natalie Brenner and Sam Parker, have announced that they have acquired a majority share in the company.

Effective immediately, the company will also rebrand as Metro International Entertainment. The core team will remain the same.

The Metro management team have acquired 70% of Ealing Metro, while Ealing Studios and Prescience have retained 30% (15% each) of the company with James Spring and Tim Smith retaining directorships and a seat on the board.

Will Machin, CEO of Metro International commented: “This is an exciting moment in our evolution. Having established a strong foothold and enviable client-base in the international marketplace over the years, we will continue to do what we do best in our core licensing and distribution business whilst being able to develop an additional portfolio of services to meet our clients’ needs.”

Metro International, Prescience and Ealing Studios will continue to partner on an existing slate of projects and will work together on future films they are already committed to. However, Metro International will be working with other partners on a diverse slate of films.

The company will continue to focus on international sales and distribution of commercial films for the global marketplace.

Metro International’s current slate includes upcoming production Last Man Out, Better Living Through Chemistry (completed), Nina (post-production), Half of a Yellow Sun (post-production), Bailout (pre-production), Crooked House (pre-production) and Destroyer (pre-production).
