EXCLUSIVE: Le Pacte’s in-demand Berlinale Competition entry The Nun has sold to Metrodome for the UK.

Guillaume Nicloux’s adaptation of Denis Diderot’s classic novel charts the trials and tribulations of a nun struggling to get to grips with life in a convent.

Pauline Etienne, Isabelle Huppert and Louise Bourgoin star in the period drama, which has been a hot seller for Le Pacte during the market.

The deal was struck by Le Pacte’s head of international sales Camille Neel and Metrodome’s acquisitions manager Giles Edwards.

Edwards said: “The Nun is one of the jewels of the Berlin Competition, an exquisite adaptation, beautifully realised and impeccably performed.

“We are delighted to be working on the film with Le Pacte and one of cinema’s most vibrant talents, Guillaume Nicloux.”
