Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment have hired Andy Tennant to direct the epic romance Adaline starring Katherine Heigl.

Tennant previously directed Hitch and The Bounty Hunter and filming is set to begin early 2011 on the tale of a mysteriously ageless woman who stands a chance of regaining her mortality when she meets the man of her dreams.

The project is the second from Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment to star Heigl after comedy thriller One For The Money. Mills Goodloe and Sal Pascowitz wrote the screenplay with revisions by Allison Burnett.

Steve Golin and Alix Madigan of Anonymous Content are producing with Sidney Kimmel and Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi. Heigl, Nancy Heigl, and Jim Tauber are executive producers.

Tennant is represented by CAA.
