Raven Banner Entertainment board Dark Hollow, while EMAfilms sign on as producers of Turbo Kid.

Paul Campion’s [pictured] Dark Hollow and François Simard, Anouk Whissell & Yoann-Karl Whissell’s Turbo Kid are the latest projects to benefit from Fantasia International Film Festival’s inaugural Frontières International Co-Production Market.

Raven Banner Entertainment will handle worldwide sales on Dark Hollow, scheduled to go into production next spring, while EMAfilms have come on board as Canadian producers for Turbo Kid.

Producers Anne-Marie Gélinas and Benoit Beaulieu commented: “Yoann-Karl, Anouk and François are a dynamic, hyper-cool and immensely creative team. Their project Turbo Kid is a fantastic thrill ride that knocked our socks off. The Frontières International Co-Production Market was a perfect forum for us to meet and get a feel for their project.”

These deals follow on from the previously announced deals, including Metaluna Production and TCB Films co-producing Fabrice Blin’s Sève, and acquisitions for Fantasia titles such as Freestyle Releasing’s pick up of Kevin & Matthew McManus’ Funeral Kings.

The 17th edition of Fantasia will run July 18-Aug 6, with the second Frontières market taking place from July 25-28. Call for submissions will open in Nov.
