The 37th Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF) will take place from October 2-12 in Marin County, California.
Festival organisers have announced early selections, with Charlie’s Country, Diplomacy and Cannes hit Timbuktu (pictured) set to screen.
The event is a well informed staging post on the road to Oscar, having scheduled Bay Area premieres for five of the last six best pictures winners.
MVFF is presented by the non-profit California Film Institute.
