Beta Cinema is off to a flying start at this year’s European Film Market with sales concluded for Philipp Stölzl’s Goethe! to US distributor Music Box and Japan’s Gaga as well as to Scandinavia (Atlantic Film), the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Hollywood C.E.), Greece (Strada Films) and South Korea (Daisy Entertainment).

Florian Cossen’s feature-film debut The Day I Was Not Born, which opened in German cinemas this week, has been sold to France (Metropolitan), Canada (Mongrel Media) and Israel (Orlando), while The End Is My Beginning, starring Bruno Ganz and Elio Germano, was picked up by Italy’s Fandango and Spain’s Isaan Entertainment/Karma.

Further deals were inked for the German surprise hit Vincent Wants To Sea with the US (Corinth Films) and Australia / New Zealand (Umbrella Entertainment), and the feature-film version of the TV two-parter Hindenberg has been sold to the UK  (Metrodome), Australia / New Zealand (Umbrella Entertainment), the Benelux (Dutch Film Works) and Scandinavia (Atlantic Film).
