Belgian filmmaker Fabrice Du Welz presides over the Concorso Internazionale jury, which will decide the winner of the Golden Leopard and other main competition awards. His films include Venice premiere Vinyan and Message From The King starring Chadwick Boseman.

He is joined by Italian producer Marco Alessi, founder of Rome-based Dugong Films; French actress Lolita Chammah, who has worked with filmmakers such as Claude Chabrol and Claire Denis; Chilean actress Paulina García, a Berlin Silver Bear winner for Gloria in 2013; and Olivier Père, formerly artistic director at Locarno and now executive director of ARTE France Cinéma.

The jury for the Concorso Cineasti del Presente section for emerging directors comprises Tunisian actress, director and producer Afef Ben Mahmoud; Czech producer and director Radovan Síbrt, the co-founder of PINK, whose credits include Mr. Nobody Against Putin; and Margherita Spampinato, director of 2025 Locarno title Sweetheart.

The Pardi di Domani section for short films will be judged by Lebanese director, writer, and actress Mounia Akl; South African producer Steven Markovitz; and Italian director Antonio Piazza.

The first feature jury, honouring the best debut in the lineup, comprises programmer and director of Tatino Films Matthieu Darras, Jeonju programmer Sung Moon, and Swiss-Peruvian filmmaker Klaudia Reynicke.

Finally, the Pardo for Change jury, for cinema that engages with environmental, ethical, social, and cultural questions, includes war reporter and author Gianluca Grossi; Somali-Austrian filmmaker Mo Harawe; and the Wyss Academy for Nature’s Seta Thakur.

The Locarno lineup was unveiled last week, and includes new films by Hong Sangsoo, Denis Cote, Maria Back, Ann Oren and Basil Da Cunha.
