EXCLUSIVE: Picturehouse Entertainment has acquired Hirokazu Kore-eda’s latest Cannes Competition title Sheep In The Box for UK-Ireland release.
The Japanese science fiction drama film was picked up from Neon, who will release in the US. Goodfellas and Gaga handle international sales.
Set in the near future, a married couple decide to welcome a humanoid robot into their home as their son. Haruka Ayase and Daigo Yamamoto star.
Fuji Television Network, Gaga Corporation, Toho, and AOI Pro produce.
Kore-eda won the Palme d’Or for Shoplifters in 2018.
