Production has begun in Paris on the erotic drama Fleur, with Matthias Schoenaerts, Makita Samba, and Marton Csokas joining Halle Berry in the cast.
Stuart Ford’s AGC Studios is financing and co-producing Fleur in association with Victor Hadida’s Davis Films, which will distribute in France through Metropolitan Filmexport.
Ellie Foumbi directs from her screenplay about a New York housewife (Berry) who flees America and her husband of 30 years (Csokas) to reinvent herself in Paris as Fleur, an upscale escort and dominatrix carving out her own power and identity.
However when the past collides with her new life, the question becomes not just whether Fleur can return, but whether she is able to do so.
Killer Films’ Christine Vachon, HalleHolly’s Halle Berry and Holly Jeter, and Gabriel Mayers of Plot Twist Pictures serve as producers.
The executive producer roster includes Ford, Miguel Palos and Zach Garrett of AGC Studios, Davis Films’ Victor Hadida, Killer Films’ Pam Koffler, and Lorelle Lynch. Paris-based Vixens is providing production services.
Schoenaerts rose to international prominence in Bullhead and he has starred in the likes of Rust And Bone, Far From The Madding Crowd, and The Danish Girl. He is currently filming Eldorado for Lola Quivoron and will next be seen in Craig Gillespie’s DC Studios summer tentpole Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow, Terrence Malick’s The Way Of The Wind, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Violette.
Samba’s first major film role was in Markus Schleinzer’s Angelo and he went on to star in and earn a César nomination for Paris, 13th District, and 2025 Cannes Critics’ Week selection Kika.
Csokas has starred in The Debt, The Equalizer, and The Lord Of The Rings franchise and will be seen next in Mel Gibson’s upcoming The Resurrection Of The Christ: Part One I.
AGC International handles worldwide sales on Fleur, and jointly represents US rights with UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent.
