Currently shooting across Europe is Fausto Brizzi’s new feature, as well as a Spanish romantic comedy by Ana Rodríguez Rosell.

In Rome, Fausto Brizzi [pictured] also almost completed the first of a ten week shoot for his latest comedy Com’E’ Bello Far L’Amore. The film is shot in 3D and takes a look at Italians and their relationship mishaps. Brizzi wrote the script in collaboration with Marco Martani and Andrea Agnello and is producing with Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli for Medusa and Wildside. The $10m production stars Fabio De Luigi, Claudia Gerini, Filippo Timi, Georgia Wurth and Alessandro Sperduti. A release is planned for the first quarter of next year.

In Spain, Ana Rodríguez Rosell is shooting Looking For Eimish, a comedy about a woman who travels to find herself, while she is being pursued by her boyfriend. Emma Suarez, Oscar Jaenada, Manuela Vellés and German actor Birol Unel star in this $3.3m feature, which is being produced by Spanish outfit Jana Films. Spanish channel TVE provided financial backing.

Tahar Rahim has been confirmed to star in Asghar Farhadi’s latest, as-yet-untitled film about an Iranian girl and a boy of North African origins who fall in love in modern day Paris. Alexandre Mallet-Guy is producing for Memento Films, which also handle international sales and French distribution. Shooting is scheduled to commence in Paris next spring.
