Writer/director Jesse Quinones’ debut about a promising baseball player from a tough background is executive produced by Effie Brown.

Andre Royo (The Wire), David Eigenberg (Sex and The City), Natalie Press (My Summer of Love) and Hans Howes (There Will Be Blood) are to star in Calloused Hands, the feature debut of Jesse Quinones.

The drama tells the coming-of-age story of a 12-year-old boy who shows promise as a baseball player but must overcome a troubled home life.

Effie Brown is executive producing the film, which will shoot in Miami in summer 2012.
