Slated is billed as an online financing forum and marketplace for filmmakers and investors while The Watchbox will allow content creators to set their own rental price point. Both launched in Park City on Saturday (21).

Slated, which according to a press release caters “exclusively to seasoned filmmakers and award-winning breakout directors,” has just completed a two-month beta period.

The initial pipeline of nascent projects includes Amy Redford’s Phoenix to star Liv Tyler and Benedict Cumberbatch, Trust Me with William H Macy and Felicity Huffman and The Way, Way Back with Sam Rockwell and AnnaSophia Robb.

Co-founders are Duncan Cork and Actarus Funds general partner Stephan Paternot, actor William Mapother and Gavan Gravesen, formerly of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen, Hamilton, Deutsche Bank.

The Watchbox is a new VoD platform that allows content creators to upload projects, footage or extras and set their own rental price point.
