IFC Films has acquired US rights to Gaspar Noe’s Enter The Void ahead of its US premiere at Sundance in the Spotlight section.
The surrealist drama premiered at Cannes last summer and centres on a teenage drug dealer killed in Japan who reappears as a ghost to watch over his sister. Nathaniel Brown, Paz de la Huerta and Cyril Roy star.
IFC Films will release Enter The Void via its IFC In Theaters theatrical and VOD day-and-date platform. The company’s Arianna Bocco brokered the deal with Carole Baraton of Wild Bunch.
Earlier in the day IFC announced it would release the Yorkshire Ripper crime mystery trilogy Red Riding: Special Roadshow Edition for one week only from February 5 exclusively at the IFC Center in New York.
The 305-minute presentation of the complete trilogy, including two intermissions, will be presented twice daily.
The films – Red Riding: 1974, Red Riding: 1980 and Red Riding: 1983 – were directed by Julian Jarrold, James Marsh and Anand Tucker. Tony Grisoni adapted from the novels by David Peace.
