
Disney thriller Send Help is the widest new release in UK and Ireland cinemas this weekend, as UK titles Hamlet and 100 Nights Of Hero also launch.
Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien star in Sam Raimi’s Send Help, which is opening in 560 locations.
The dark comedy follows a disgruntled employee (McAdams) stranded on a deserted island with her insufferable boss (O’Brien) as power dynamics shift, and the pair try to overcome their differences for survival.
Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, starring Tobey Maguire, amassed over £90m in the territory. His horror titles include 2016’s Don’t Breathe (£1m opening) and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise (£1.5m opening).
Lionsgate UK’s horror trilogy The Strangers concludes as Chapter 3 opens in 286 sites. It is a smaller release than the previous two instalments, which launched in 427 and 485 sites, respectively. The finale sees Madelaine Petsch return to battle the masked killers once more.
In event releases, Universal Pictures is screening K-pop concert film Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience in 467 venues while R.E.M. X Buster Keaton’s Sherlock Jr. is out in 38 sites for CinemaLive.
Universal is launching Aneil Karia’s Hamlet in 184 locations. Riz Ahmed, Morfydd Clark, Joe Alwyn and Timothy Spall star in the modern-day adaptation set in London. Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet could help or hinder the title, as the Oscar nominee continues its hot streak at the box office - currently eyeing up £15m.

Maika Monroe, Nicholas Galitzine and Emma Corrin are among the cast of Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights Of Hero, which Vue Lumiere is opening in 134 cinemas. The film, which screened at both Venice Critics’ Week and as the closing-night film of the BFI London Film Festival, follows a charming houseguest who arrives at a remote castle and ruffles the dynamic between a husband, his bride and their maid.
Bafta nominee My Father’s Shadow is opening in 67 cinemas via Mubi. Akinola Davies Jr’s debut centres on two brothers exploring Lagos with their estranged father during the 1993 Nigerian election crisis.
Kristen Stewart’s debut feature The Chronology Of Water opens in 27 venues via BFI Distribution. The film, which premiered in Cannes Un Certain Regard, stars Imogen Poots as a competitive swimmer who finds salvation through writing.
Hoping to catch the Send Help wave, Park Circus is screening Twinless – also starring O’Brien – in 20 locations. Two young men met in a support group for twinless twins in this Sundance 2025 award winner.
Palestine-set family drama All That’s Left Of You debuts in 19 venues for T A P E Collective. Directed by Palestinian-American filmmaker Cherien Dabis, the film follows three generations of family amid the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It was Oscar-shortlisted for best international feature for Jordan.
Further releases include Indian crime thriller Vadh 2 via Yash Raj Films; documentaries Andre Is An Idiot and The Shepherd And The Bear via Dogwoof and Conic Film, respectively; and a re-release of 1980 satire The Stunt Man via Radiance Films.
