The Big Short has garnered five nominations including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Christian Bale), Best Editing, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

The Cold War thriller Bridge of Spies has earned six nominations, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Mark Rylance), Best Original Screenplay, Best Sound Mixing, Best Original Score, and Best Production Design.

Saoirse Ronan Brooklyn

Brooklyn has garnered three Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actress (Saoirse Ronan), and Best Adapted Screenplay.

The post-apocalyptic adventure Mad Max:Fury Road has been nominated in ten categories. These include Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Director (George Miller), Best Film Editing, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Production Design, Achievement in Visual Effects, Best Sound Editing, and Best Sound Mixing.

The Martian

The Martian has been nominated in seven Oscar categories including Best Picture, Best Actor (Matt Damon), Best Production Design, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Achievement in Visual Effects, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

The Revenant

The Revenant tops the list with 12 Oscar noms. These include Best Picture, Best Actor (Leonardo DiCaprio), Best Supporting Actor (Tom Hardy), Best Cinematography, Best Director (Alejandro G Ińárritu), Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Production Design, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Achievement in Visual Effects.

Room

Room has garnered four Oscar nominations including Best Picture, Best Actress (Brie Larson), Best Director (Lenny Abrahamson), and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Spotlight

Spotlight has earned six Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Mark Ruffalo), Best Supporting Actress (Rachel McAdams), Best Director (Tom McCarthy), Best Film Editing, and Best Original Screenplay.
