Content Film has sold Xavier Gens’ The Divide to Presidio in Japan, in a deal closed here in Cannes.
 
This sale builds on previously announced deals including France (Initiative Cinema One), UK (Momentum), Germany (Square One), Australia and New Zealand (Hoyts), Scandinavia (CCV), Portugal (Lusomundo), Turkey (Duka), The Middle East (Gulf Film), CIS (Cinemax), China (H.G.C. Entertainment), Singapore (Archer Entertainment), Indonesia (PT Amero), Taiwan (Catchplay) and Thailand and Vietnam (IPA Asia).

Preferred Content and WME sold the film to Anchor Bay for North America, after its SXSW premiere.
 
The Divide is about a desolate group of people in a New York City apartment building.
 
It screens tonight (May 13) in the Cannes market.
