Netflix’s vice president of UK content Anne Mensah received the Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) UK contribution to the industry award at a London ceremony earlier this week.
Mensah has been recognised for her work across commissioning for BBC, Sky and Netflix, working on shows including Chernobyl, The Crown, Top Boy, Baby Reindeer and Adolescence.
Further recipients of awards included Piers Tempest of Tempo Productions, who won the producers award for his work on I Swear. Netflix film Frankenstein received the production team of the year award for film.
“I’m delighted to see Anne Mensah honoured with our contribution to the industry award,” said Kaye Elliott, PGGB CEO. “Her commitment to diverse voices from across the UK, and the global impact of British stories, is something closely aligned to our mission here at the guild.”
“These awards celebrate the expertise and talent that goes into the UK’s consistently superb HETV and film productions,” added Bianca Gavin, PGGB chair and head of production, scripted, for Vice Studios. “As we celebrate these achievements, we can also honour the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration behind them.”
PGGB is a UK membership and industry organisation for those working in film and TV drama production.
